SRW Original Characters Introduction

Gilliam Jeager is a quiet and serious individual, rarely engaging in small talk, indicating that when he does have something to say, it is of great importance. However he actually can be very short tempered and there are few moments when Gilliam actually lost himself and charged at the enemies without giving second thoughts, though he usually tries to hide his emotions from the others. In addition, he rarely speaks much when it comes to his own identity, though it is known that Gilliam is not from the Original Generation universe. He actually has power to see the future, which is far stronger than Shine Hausen's precognitive abilities; he could even see the coming apocalypse of the world he was living in. However, Gilliam forbids himself from ever using it. Gilliam upon leaving his own universe was obsessed with returning to own universe too the point he would join Shadow Mirror allowing Shadow Mirror to invade the OG universe causing him great guilt. Towards the end of his battle with Shadow Mirror, Gilliam finally accepts that he will never return and finally live out his life in his new universe.

Shu Shirakawa conducts himself in an extremely proper manner, but despite this propriety, he is not above condescending his enemies for their weakness. On top of this, Shu is an incredibly intelligent individual, and despite his young age, he has earned a number of PhD's and is a brilliant scientist. Not only that he actually comes from La Gias, where there are only highly developed alchemies and magics, but Shu managed to adopt himself into the Earth science very quickly and even managed to combine it with alchemies and magics. He also is an excellent alchemist and has an even higher amount of mana than prince Palelord. Shu is also very accomplished in mecha development. It is said that he single-handedly designed and created Granzon, which is one of the most technologically advanced mechas to ever exist, using 1/3 of DC's funding. To further enhance this, he was also able to channel Volkruss's power onto the machine to transform it into Neo-Granzon, one of the deadliest mechas in the SRW universe. After being freed from Volkruss, Shu later learnt to achieve the same effects using alchemy and magic alone.

Elzam von Branstein is a calm, collected individual, much like his brother, whose even temper makes his skill as a pilot even more readily apparent. Despite this stoicism, he is a gentle person and treats his subordinates with utmost respect when not on the battlefield. Much like Sanger, his honorable personality conflicts with that of some of the less scrupulous members of the Divine Crusaders, who view his upholding of honor to be a weakness. His prowess in battle is matched only by his prowess in the kitchen -- Elzam is a master chef. When he was a Divine Crusaders commander, he would cook feasts for his men, creating gourmet dishes with whatever ingredients are on-hand.

Sänger Zonvolt is a very honorable individual who fights for his own personal beliefs. Hardened by a long career as a soldier, Sänger has an amazing amount of wisdom on the battlefield and can sense the potential in allies and enemies alike. His demeanor and manners of speech are reminiscent of a samurai, and as such, Sänger and his personal machines are always depicted with a Katana -- in the case of the latter, all of his machines have a gigantic, specially-made Katana called the Zankantou.

Irmgard "Irm" Kazahara is shown in the OG series to be a nearly limitless flirt, which causes many problems in his relationship with another character from the game he first appeared in, Ring Mao, the CEO of Mao Industries in the OG series. He's also fairly sarcastic at times, but generally reliable in the face of his opponents.

Raidiese "Rai" F. Branstein is one of the members of the SRX team and pilots the R-2. Although not a Psych Driver like his SRX teammates, 19-year-old Raidiese "Rai" F. Branstein has exceptional piloting skills and a unique sense of judgment on the battlefield. Coming from the respected Branstein family, he is the second son of Mayer W. Branstein and the younger brother of Elzam von Branstein. A calm and loyal person, Rai has great respect for the Branstein surname and takes his friends and family close to his heart. However, his relationship with Elsam is tense for several years: Rai blames him for the death of his beloved daughter-in-law Cattleya after the attack on the Elpis colony, home of the Branstein clan. His relationship with Princess Shine Hausen is not entirely clear, but he makes sure she feels safe when he is around her.

A mysterious, straight-faced woman, Viletta Vadim possesses exceptional piloting and leadership skills. Similar to Ingram Plissken, during battles Viletta maintains a very analytical look of the situation. Also, she is calm, forgiving and adaptive with her fellow members in SRW.

In the retracted position, he looks like a nervous protagonist, but he does not shield the sei like that. Unintentionally in relation to Az. As a child, Edge was incredibly loving and overprotective of her, which annoyed Az to no end the older she got. When they reunite in the present, she tries not to date him, much to Edge's dismay. Compared to Az, Edge is often ridiculed by members of Dreikreuz. He admits that one of his favorite things to do is flirt with pretty girls. Unfortunately for Edge, the ladies at Dreikreuz, with the exception of Mitsuba, aren't really interested. This causes him to often voice his jealousy that other characters are more fortunate with ladies than he is.

Ingram Prisken
Prior to Alpha 1, Ingram Prisken is thought to be the clone of the Balmarian Euzeth Gozzo. As part of the Aerogaters, Ingram was sent to Earth to spy on the Earth government's activities, after Meteor-3 had crashed. After joining up with the Federation and promoted to the rank of Major, Ingram begins his search for the candidates for the SRX Team. When the Aerogaters finally began their invasion of Earth, Ingram acts accordingly, and turns on his former SRX teammates. While Ingram was following his orders directly from Euzeth, who was also controlling his will, Ingram had an agenda of his own: to break free of Euzeth's control over him and complete his role as a Time Diver, a unique individual whose purpose is to protect and maintain balance throughout various time and dimensions in all universe. With the powerful Astranagant to use, it seemed like Ingram would achieve his goal. However, the last battle between the Londo Bell and the Aerogaters ended up with Ingram and the Astranagant missing, presumably destroyed. More or less, though, Ingram's body was no more, but his essence and influence allowed him to keep on controlling the Astranagant.

Ryuusei Date
At 18-years old, Ryuusei Date is an extremely hot-blooded young individual. A mecha otaku, Ryuusei is heavily into mobile machines, specifically those of the super robot type. When he receives his R-1, he was disappointed at the fact that it was a real robot, but was surprised at the specifications of the SRX, where it is classified as a super. Ryuusei has an odd habit of naming certain attacks, and often shouts them aloud when performing them, á la classic super robot pilots. He abbreviates some of the SRX's and Banpreios' attacks with the words "Tenjou Tenga", literally meaning "Heaven and Earth". Before joining the SRX Team, Ryuusei was a childhood friend with Kusuha Mizuha. Though she initially developed a crush on him, Ryuusei didn't return the same feelings, either due to his obsession with mecha, or because he simply didn't share them. He does show some support for the relationship she develops with Brooklyn Luckfield, however. His relationship with the rest of the female cast of Original Generation is still in question, but it seems he is exceptionally close with Latune Subbota and Aya's sister, Mai. While he doesn't show much interest in women, he usually says that mechs with feminine shapes and appearances, like Lune Zoldark's Valsione, Lamia Loveless' Angelg or Virtual-ON's Fei-Yen the Knight, are cute or sexy.

21-year old Aya Kobayashi is the oldest daughter of Dr. Kenzo Kobayashi, the creator of the T-Link System. As captain of the SRX Team, she often looks out for the well-being of her teammates, both on and off the battlefield. Aya is also an adept Psychodriver, in fact, a very powerful one, for she is the key in forming the mighty SRX machine. A nice, charming woman, who enjoys walking around art museums, she looked up to ex-SRX Team Commander Ingram Plissken a lot before he betrayed the team and allied with the Aerogaters.

Masaki Andoh
17 year-old Masaki Andoh is the last of the main summons to the netherworld of La Gias, by the emperor of Langran. A typical hot-blooded character, he's great in all sports, but not so great in terms of thinking straight. He's also somewhat awkward around the company of women (this is ironic, since he has acquired an unofficial harem in his stay in Langran). Because of his extreme emotional ups and downs, he was chosen as the pilot for the Masō Kishin, Cybuster, which requires high amounts of prana. When he first arrived in Langran, he was given the Wind Masōki, Jaohm, to pilot, and later he is chosen by Cyfis to be the pilot of the Cybuster. He was the last of the four Masō Kishin pilots to be chosen, albeit by Cybuster, arguably the best of the Masō Kishin.
Both his parents died when he was young, leading to a loneliness complex he developed as a child. However, this was dispelled by the people he met in La Gias. Forever indebted to his mentor, Zeoroot Zenozakis, who was like a father to him, he treats his only daughter, Presia, like a sister he never had. He has feelings for Wendy Rasm Iknart, the designer of the Langran Masōki Project, but things are more complicated when Lune Zoldark has thrown her hat into the ring. Becky, another Masōki pilot, always reminds him that polygamy is common in La Gias, which turns off Masaki and gets him all embarrassed.
Since the guardian spirit of the Masō Kishin only accepts a person with a good heart, Masaki was granted freedom in Langran. He can openly disobey the ruler of Langran without receiving penalties. In fact, it's his duty to oppose any ruler of Langran who threatens the peace of La Gias. The name bestowed onto him, Randoll Zan Zenozakis, is actually an ancestor of Zeoroot, hence in Langran theory, making him Zeoroot’s son. Randoll was also the hero who sealed off Shiva Volkruss several years ago.
Masaki has no sense of direction. Without any guide, he can get lost even if he is inside a battleship, and is hesitant to admit it this weakness. Moreover, it explains why he never chases his enemies who flee from battle, even though the Cybuster is capable of moving at extremely high speeds. He carries two familiar cats: Kuro, a black female, and Shiro, a white male, who constantly make fun of Masaki whenever he’s lost, although they are usually helpless to direct him otherwise. They each pilot a "High Familiar", a funnel-type weapon which launches from the Cybuster.
